Circulation Services

To book a study room visit the online booking tool, call 315-792-3041, or stop by the Circulation Desk.

• Students can book up to 3 hours per day for any one group.
• 30-minute grace period for reservations.
• Do not leave personal items or library materials unattended in the rooms.
• Faculty should contact their School office for class space needs, review sessions, group facilitation, meetings, etc.
• Students can book up to 2 weeks in advance

Electronic Reserves: You can access it through your Engage or Canvas course shell.

Physical Reserves: The loan period is 3 hours. Check the Course Reserve Page to see if your professor has put their books on reserve.

Student Circulation Policy

Your UU ID is your library card.

• Books: 60-day loan period.
• Popular Reading (first floor): 28-day loan period.
  • Books may be renewed unless the item is needed by another patron or is on course reserve.
  • Materials can be recalled if requested by another patron or needed for course reserve.

The following materials may only be used in the Library:

• Journals: current issues
• Newspapers
• Reference materials
• Course Reserve items
• Microform

Laptops:

• Only Students, Faculty, or Staff can borrow Laptops. 
• The loan period is 3 hours, renewable dependent upon demand.

Students receive the following email notifications for Interlibrary Loan books that they have borrowed:

1. 2 days before the due date a courtesy reminder to return or renew the books.
2. 1^st overdue notice 1 week after due date
3. 2^nd overdue notice 3 weeks after date due.
4. 31 days after the date due, the item is now assumed to be lost, and the student is sent a bill for the item with a $10.00 processing fee per item. The charges are posted to their Student Financial Services account.

If materials are returned in good condition, all charges and fees are waived.  Refunds, however, will not be granted.
