Faculty: Resources & Services

A guide to the library for Utica's faculty.

Research Instruction Options

We believe in working with faculty to develop library instruction that:

  • Helps us address the topics and skills you want your students to learn
  • Supports college-level research and writing skills
  • Cultivates information literacy skills necessary for success
  • Complements your classroom instruction

Structured Classroom Instruction

Our librarians are happy to work with your class in the venue most appropriate for the instruction at hand. We can present in the library classroom or your own, a computer lab, a course management shell, on conference calls, etc. In consultation with you, we can provide a basic library orientation or customized course-related instruction.

There are several ways to initiate a conversation about library resources and research instruction. Use this link to activate the instruction request form; contact the Library Liaison for your subject area, or contact Lisa Rogers, Coordinator of Instruction.

Self-Paced Instruction

If your students simply need refreshers on specific skills or tools, we have created a collection of video tutorials and research guides. Use the following link to review the current list of topics: Research at Utica College.
