In this section, we will provide you with resources about Generative AI and AI tools that you can use in your courses.

Starting at the Syllabus

Many universities have come out with a policy regarding how to use Generative AI in the classroom. Usually, it is at the discretion of the faculty, with an understanding of the risks of using Generative AI and Academic Integrity.

Stanford Business and the University of Wisconsin-Madison provide three separate statements to use in your syllabi depending on your approach to AI and Generative AI in the classroom. These are AI Tools Permitted Freely, AI Usage Permitted with Limitations, and No AI Usage Permitted.

There are many faculty from other universities who have begun creating Generative AI-based assignments to use in the classroom. It allows both students and faculty a chance to explore the tools in a safe and controlled environment. There is a list of examples of classroom use.
