Interlibrary Loan Overdue Policy

Interlibrary Loan Overdue Policy:

Email reminders and notices are sent as a courtesy. Failure to receive a notice does not exempt borrowers from processing, replacement, or damage fees. It is a student’s responsibility to return the books on time!

1st notice: A few days before the due date, a reminder is sent to return or renew the books.

2nd notice: One week after the due date, students with overdue ILL books will lose their ILL privileges until each book is returned in good condition.

3rd notice: Two weeks after the due date students will be blocked from ILLiad entirely for book and article requests.

Final Notice: One month after the due date, UUlibrary will pay the bill when invoiced by the lending library. The charge will be added to the student's financial account with a $10 processing added from the UU Library.

All charges will be rescinded if the book is returned in good condition prior to the UU library paying the bill for the book. Once UU library pays the bill charges posted to the student account will be changed to reflect the amount that UU library was charged and paid.
