A societal concept that gender is typically limited to two strict categories of male or female. There is an expectation for gender identity to align with the sex assigned at birth, and traditional gender expressions and roles are often emphasized.
A person who does not identify exclusively as a man or a woman. Non-binary people may identify as being both a man and a woman, somewhere in between, or completely outside these categories. Not all Non-binary people identify as transgender. Non-binary is also a term encompassing identities such as agender, bigender, genderqueer, or gender-fluid.*

No! "Singular They" refers to using they/them pronouns for one individual. We commonly use "Singular They" in our everyday conversations. The Oxford English Dictionary traced "Singular They" in English Speech and Writing as far back as 1375.
